Badged Type 3 ripstop ERDL jungle jacket named to Frederick Caristo. Fred spent 20 years in the US Army with numerous tours of duty in SEA. He served with the Vietnamese Rangers, Phoenix Program and SOG where he was integral to the development of STRATA. He was awarded a DSC for his part in a POW rescue attempt. The in country made silver bracelet is adorned with his name in english and Thai. Fred Carsito retired as a Lt Col.
Badged early pattern Beogam shirt with 13 stars metal buttons, named to SFC Manual Austria Coniconde. All the insignia including the printed white name tape has been over-dyed and the name tape has been hand cammoed to match the Beogam pattern.
Between 1943 and 1945 he was a member of a group of Philippine Guerrilla fighters fighting the Japanese occupation forces. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1953 and in 1959 he joined Special Forces. He was awarded the CIB in Sept 64 and was awarded the Bronze Star in August 1967. He went on to retire from the United States Army in June 1973 with 20 years of service.
